Yes, that exceeds the SAAMI 21.5K standard pressure limit but it would not imho do that kind of damage, and the proof is that many of us have tested BB in our LCPs with no problems. The Information that I received from Buffalo Bore indicated that it could be as high as 25,000 psi, but there are a lot of variables, and most likely, it is less than that, typically in the 24,000 +/- range. Now as an engineer and a “Long-time-ago” Field Artillery Officer, I can tell you there are whole lot of variables, such as chamber dimensions, rifling type, bore diameter versus rifling diameter, rifling breadth, etc., plus environmental (temperature, humidity, etc.) variables, and Tim pointed these out (along with others). I requested any information that he might have as to the maximum chamber pressure that would be encountered as a result of using Buffalo Bore ammunition (which is what I load when I carry). I have been in contact with Tim Sundles, President, founder, and “The Man” at Buffalo Bore Ammunition. Ok folks, I have some “hard data” to report.
